Wall-mounted system speeds setup, adjustment
WELLESLEY, Massachusetts, June 3, 2010 – Art display equipment from Gallery System, a leading provider of simple, elegant picture-hanging systems for commercial and home use, was used at the recent Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh.
Gallery System provided wall-mounted tracks and adjustable cable and hook assemblies for use in the New Juried Visual Art Exhibition at the Trust Arts Education Center. The Exhibition featured 110 works from 75 Pittsburgh-area artists, selected from hundreds of entries by a jury panel.
The hanging system eliminates the need to drive nails into walls, and greatly simplifies the process of setting up paintings, photos, prints, and other artworks. Fine adjustments, both vertical and horizontal, can be made in seconds without tools, and works can be changed and positioned very quickly.
“The system made it possible for us to convert a raw space with an uneven surface into a gallery space, uniformly hanging pieces of artwork that ranged greatly in size and weight. We are looking forward to using this system for other events and fine art shows throughout the Cultural District in the future,” said Lauren Bracey, Public Relations & Marketing Manager for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which oversees the Festival.
